Perfect

Poor design (idler bracket)
Generally a good mower. We replaced our LA110 with a new S110. The old mower is still running — the new mower is 30 months old with 300 hours on it. The cutter engagement spring let go and on inspection the idler bracket hole for the spring had torn out. Dealer keeps replacements on hand, though.

Not off to a good start
Lowes just tried to deliver an S110 and on first start, fuel poured out of the engine. Doesn't look like it was assembled properly or tested before it was put on the truck. Refused the delivery. Very disappointed because we waited 2 weeks for it.

Replaced my 19-year-old L110 with an S110
My S110 arrived full of gas & oil, ready to perform. The 19 HP versus 17 HP is noticeable — better handling and turning radius. Extremely quiet muffler system, 1/4-in. mower height settings, and I can now step off in park without the motor stopping. Nothing runs like a Deere.

Deck scalps on turns
3rd summer with the mower. The deck is perfectly level and tire pressure is spot on but it still scalps the yard on turns. Quiet and nice ride when not cutting.
